Lam Dong Province Master Plan 2030 with Vision to 2050

Located in Vietnam’s Central Highlands, Lam Dong occupies a strategic position at the crossroads of three major economic regions, serving as a key gateway for trade, tourism and regional connectivity. The Lam Dong Province Master Plan 2030 with Vision to 2050 outlines a transformative roadmap to position Lam Dong as Vietnam’s Green Capital, leveraging the province’s unique ecological assets, temperate climate, rich natural landscapes and highland character to drive a transition towards a high-value, innovation-led and sustainable economy.

Anticipating future demands beyond the current growth in tourism and agriculture, the master plan aims to establish Lam Dong as a regional tourism and service hub within a framework that is both environmentally conscious and viable in the long term. Key strategies include advancing green industries, renewable energy and circular economy initiatives while promoting sustainable forestry and carbon management. At the same time, the scheme strengthens the province’s high-tech agriculture while expanding eco-, cultural-, wellness- and agro-tourism, supporting the development of innovation hubs, logistics and service centres, as well as enhanced healthcare and education facilities, to form a more connected urban network centred around Da Lat and Bao Loc. Grounded in resiliency, these strategies balance urban-rural development, environmental stewardship and investment-friendly growth for sustainable prosperity across the province.
